DTF (direct-to-film)
DTF prints the design on film and presses it onto the shirt. It handles unlimited colours, photos and gradients and works on cotton, polyester and blends, including black garments. Best for full-colour designs from one piece to a few hundred. Learn about DTF printing.
Heat transfer vinyl (PVC, flock, glitter)
Solid-colour vinyl is cut to shape and pressed on. It is bold, durable and economical for logos, names and numbers in one or two colours. Flock adds a velvety premium feel. See heat press options.
Dye sublimation
Ink becomes part of polyester fibres, so the print never cracks or fades and can cover the entire garment. It only works on white or light polyester, which makes it perfect for sports jerseys. Explore sublimation.

Questions
Which T-shirt printing method lasts longest?
Sublimation lasts the longest because the ink becomes part of the fabric, but it only works on polyester. On cotton, well-pressed DTF and quality heat transfer both last many washes.
What is the cheapest way to print T-shirts in Kenya?
For small orders with simple logos, heat transfer vinyl is usually cheapest. For full-colour designs, DTF avoids set-up costs. For very large single-colour runs, screen printing can be cheapest.
